Pöyry Engineering Oy serves Finland's forest and chemical industries regionally in a total of eighteen locations in the country's key economic areas.
We offer engineering and project management services for our clients' investment projects as well as day-to-day co-operation and value-added local services.
Our most important client groups include the forest and chemical industries (chemicals, petrochemicals, foodstuffs) and the machine and systems suppliers serving these industries. Selected offices also offer local services to other sectors of industry.
In addition to serving its domestic clients, Pöyry Engineering offers its services for exports, both in co-operation with other Pöyry Group companies and jointly with equipment suppliers and contractors.

We at Pöyry Engineering serve Finland's industries, not only here in our domestic market but also through our extensive international network all over the world, wherever Finnish companies are exploring and implementing investment projects or improving the operations of existing production plants.
Our domestic network comprises 18 offices in Finland's key industrial areas. We employ nearly six hundred professionals, who know our clients' production plants and who are prepared to participate in investment projects or tasks related to operations improvement and maintenance on a daily basis.
Our most important client groups include the forest industry and the chemicals and foodstuffs industries. In these sectors we possess in-depth industrial expertise acquired through many years' co-operation with our clients. Combined with efficient tools and our staff's solid professional skills, this provides a good basis for successful project work.
In our project work we operate as a part of Pöyry's global network, which allows us to offer the best experts and the most suitable resources for each project or engineering task. Our streamlined tools and operating systems and our integrated computer network guarantee high performance and quality of work. Our office locations close to clients' production plants offer considerable added value in rebuild projects, in which daily follow-up on site is particularly important, notwithstanding our advanced working methods.
In our local service we serve as the client's partner in improving the operations and efficiency of the production plant in question. We are responsible for securing the availability of technical documentation and for updating it, we keep track of the relevant legislation, we take care of minor investments or assume reponsibility for other tasks as agreed with the client. In partnership agreements, our tools are always at the client's disposal, minimising the capital tied up in the work. The overriding objective of our work is to improve operations in a way which provides tangible economic benefits to the client.
We believe in partnership based on concrete objectives, which is why we are continually developing our office network and local services. We also know that efficiency requirements continue to grow, so we are constantly developing our international network, our tools and our division of work to ensure high-quality service at a competitive cost.
Our slogan from years gone by "Local Presence - Global Resources" is perhaps even more to the point today than ever before, as the world continues to integrate at a strong pace. We are a part of this development - yet, to us, this is not an end in itself. We want to make sure that our clients' production plants remain the world's most efficient.
